Programs

A program of unique historical interest is presented each month. Meetings are held at 2:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month from October to March (except December) at the Woman's Club located at 419 S Interlachen Avenue at the corner of Lyman Avenue and Interlachen. The series is free of charge and open to the public. No reservations are required.

We were fortunate to have the following speakers presenting during our 2007 season.
Ed L’Heureux, The History of Florida’s Tourism
Dr. Rebekah McCloud, "Across the Tracks - A Collective History of Black Churches of Winter Park"
Dr. Robert Casanello, "If God Send Me a Pistol, I'll Send Him a Man' Zora Neale Hurston and Black Life in the Florida Turpentine Camps"
Jeanine Taylor, Introduction to Contemporary Folk Art - What it is, What it isn't
John Moran, photographer, Journal of Light: A Photographer's Search for the Soul of Florida.

Our 2008 program speakers will be announced in the fall of this year.
