Winter Park Historic Garden Tour

Stroll through private gardens in one of Winter Park's historic neighborhoods featuring landscape designers and painters, book signings by local celebrities, butterfly and beekeeper experts and much, much more.

This year's tour featured nine gardens located in Virginia Heights, one of Winter Park oldest and most charming neighborhoods. The theme could have been "And a Creek Runs Through It" as five of the nine gardens backed up to Howell Creek, a stream running from Lake Sue to Lake Virginia. Platted in the 1920's, these deep lots, which terminate at the creek and its wetlands have presented unusual challenges for their owners. The solutions were very different and beautiful. One just might be the most sensuous garden in Winter Park!
